Circa 1930s, this 1 3/4” wide floral tooled, rose pattern belt is carved with the initials “LBO” and is attached to a 1” wide, 3-piece, 3-color gold horsehead buckle set. The belt is 40” long and 34” to the center hole. The buckle is stamped with the "Visalia Stock Saddle Co" cartouche / "Sterling" and "14K" on the back. The leather belt itself is unmarked but undoubtedly Visalia-made as well. This buckle is famously pictured on Ortega alongside Ed Borein in the well published 1933 photo taken outside of Borein’s Santa Barbara studio.
