A grouping of sterling and gold accessories made to complete the outfit made by John McCabe. Each component is a distinctive sculptural work of art.
The parade spurs are of heavy steel, overlaid with chased and engraved silver, and have rope edges overall. The shanks and heel bands have floral motifs. The rowels are six petal silver flowers with floral overlay and rowel pin covers of silver and gold flowers with ruby centers. The spur straps have the same small flowers as the rowel pins with 3-piece gold horseshoe, gold & silver buckle sets. Each strap has a large floral silver concho with a ruby center.
For both convenience and uniformity, a clever pair of boot tops were created to be worn over various boots and still match the rest of the outfit. Each top is black tooled leather. At the bottom and top edges is a row of silver and gold flowers with ruby centers. One top has an oval panel with rope edge, showing a silver landscape and the figure of a gold cowboy on horseback roping a calf. The other is the same except the center gold figures show a cowboy in full dimension bulldogging a steer. As with other figures, the eyes of the animals are all rubies.
A pair of floral tooled gauntlets are embellished with a single row of small silver and gold flowers, each with a single ruby at the bottom of the cuffs. A rope edged oval panel with a gold, ruby eyed longhorn steer head decorates the center of the cuff.
