Used in the famous 1973 film "Cahill: U.S. Marshal" and worn by John Wayne as J. D. Cahill. Two shirts, one green and one red plaid, a corduroy vest, and dark silk scarf. The shirts and the vest have the "Western Costume Co." labels denoting "John Wayne" along with the "American Costume - Hollywood" stamps. Each of the shirts and vest are clear in several of the scenes in the movie. A great piece of Western film history.
Provenance: Luster Bayless (John Wayne's costumer) to Boyd Magers.
CORRECTION: The red shirt in this lot was supplied on the set for Wayne during Cahill but is not seen in the film, the vest and darker shirt are clearly seen in the movie.
