Spanish made sword marked "FABRICA DE TOLEDO" on the obverse of the blade. Knight head proof on above guard. Etched panels on each side of the blade. Brass pommel and guard bearing the eagle & snake emblem of the Republic of Mexico. Wrapped wood grip with twisted wire binding showing handling wear. Steel scabbard with a few dents, old dark corrosion in spots, and scattered blemishes. Missing 1 throat screw. Scabbard fits 95% of the sword. Possibly a souvenir of the Punitive Expedition in 1916. CONDITION: NRA Good.
