A very showy and early, circa 1885 quilled bridle with unusually large brow band, 6 1/2" drops with cone dangles. Attached to commercial tanned harness leather with beaded and quilled rosettes decorated with wrapped and looped drops. As stated in the book "Parfleche, porcupine quills, leather thongs, tin cones, dyed bird fluffs, leather, iron bit. The traditional zigzag motif is a reference to the association between horses and lightning."
