Cowdrey and Martin notes: "Note beaded throatlatch, reins and snaffle bit. Brain-tanned leather, glass seed beads, commercial-leather reins, steel bit. Here, the traditional lightning design on the brow is disintegrating into separated, geometric motifs. On the cheek straps, similar designs alternate with U.S. flags. The fully beaded reins probably indicate this set was created for female use."
