DST. Exceptionally rare C. 1940's Tin Service Station Flange Sign for Penn Drake Lubricants showing Drake Oil Derrick graphic as well as reflective lettering in the lower field. CONDITION: Side one showing excellent color & gloss with minimal surface scratching in the field present. Side one shows unique reflective lettering in the lower in excellent condition showing just minor age wear. The outer edge is very clean with just minimal paint nicks and light wear, (Score 89). Side two also showing excellent colors with some light age staining present in the white as well as some light areas of surface scratching. Side two shows minor paint loss at the lower edge but overall very clean, (Score 86). The flange portion is excellent as well showing just minimal surface scratch with excellent condition mounting holes.
