Lot consists of: (A) Mexican Model 1822 Cavalry Saber marked "R.M." with liberty cap and "A.C. / MEXICO" on ricasso. Standard configuration with extra leather wrap around wood grip. Wire is present underneath but appears loose, wood grip is exposed. Brown patina to blade. Dark patina to hilt. With mismatched scabbard. CONDITION: NRA Fair. (B) Interesting sword with a Mexican hilt and US etched blade marked "CORPS / LINE / SPAIN / STAINLESS". Blade features US motifs including federal eagle. Ghosting visible where original blade rested on hilt. Blade tip is rounded. Possibly assembled by a soldier during the Mexican Border War (1910-1919). CONDITION: NRA Fair.
