Made at Springfield Arsenal in 1932. Blued 24" star gauged military barrel with Lyman globe front sight, military rear sight graduated to 2800 yards, and an arsenal fitted Lyman 48 rear peep sight. Barrel is marked "SA / (Flaming Bomb) /1-33". Standard matted finish bolt action with standard markings including receiver marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903" with polished "NS" marked, unswept bolt, and parkerized milled trigger guard. Standard military walnut "C" stock with invisible inspector mark, no encircled "P" re-inspection mark, correct blued military hardware, 2 bolt reinforcement, "D1836" stamped behind pistol grip, and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: 90% original arsenal finish with areas worn to a silvery patina. Action worn to an honest patina with carry and operating wear. Stock has cleaned surfaces with dings and marks. Good bore with ME of 1 and TE of 1 and good mechanics.
