Made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1929 and professionally restocked by an unknown gunsmith; work resembles Griffin and Howe. Plain 28" target weight round blued Winchester Proof Steel barrel with standard rear flip sight (removed but with gun), Lyman 48 rear peep, (front sight dovetail removed) and gun fitted with period J.W. Fecker 10x scope with blued finish, crosshair reticle, and original steel caps. Standard blued receiver with blued trigger guard, matching early style bolt, and cocking bolt safety. Custom, checkered, highly figured walnut pistol grip stock with right-hand cheekpiece, ebony forend cap, grip graduations slots in forearm with steel grip cap and slightly compressed period pad. Comes with custom palm rest, sling grip post, globe front sight, and 3 standard Winchester marked 5-round detachable magazines, 1 Winchester marked single shot magazine, and a Winchester 10-shot magazine. CONDITION: 90% factory blue with light edge wear and operating marks. 90% original varnish with usage marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics, optics slightly cloudy. A great vintage shooter's set-up.
