Originally made by Parker Gun Company in 1918. Included Parker letter states that this gun was originally made with Damascus Steel 30" barrels; no mention in the Parker Serialization book. This fine shotgun features blued 26" Acme fluid steel barrels with "Acme Steel" rib roll die mark on Parker addressed matted rib, "2 - 3/4" SHELLS" marked barrel flats, ejectors, and bead sight, with border breech engraving. Barrels are choked Improved Modified and Modified; chambers measure 2 - 3/4". Case hardened finish No. 1 frame boxlock action with standard BHE grade full coverage floral engraving with pointing dogs on sides, a walking deer on bottom, automatic safety, and factory double triggers with blued floral engraved trigger guard with serial number. Border checkered walnut pistol grip stock with checkered side panels, carved panel border diamond tails in the BH grade style, leather-faced rubber recoil pad, brass plate pistol grip cap, and matching checkered splinter forearm with latch release. Comes with Parker factory letter confirming original specifications and a return repair for action and ejector problems. CONDITION: Overall 95% original barrel finish with insignificant handling marks; barrels most likely Remington or expert gunmaker replacements. 40% fading case colors with sharp markings, receiver starting to silver. Good wood with 90% original finish, small handling marks, and sharp checkering. Stock possibly cut in period for the addition of pad with no mention of factory installation. Good mechanics with mirror bores, tight lock up, and a lever way to right with phenomenal screws. A very eye-catching shotgun with great specifications.
