Originally made by Parker Gun Company after purchase by Remington Arms Company in 1935. According to the Parker Serialization Book, this gun started as a VHE grade in 20 gauge. Gun was professionally upgraded to an A-1 Special by an unknown professional gunsmith with lots of similarities to Pachmayr's work. Blued 28" Vulcan fluid steel barrels relabeled with "Peerless Steel" rib roll die mark on Parker addressed matted rib with engine turned barrel flats, ejectors, bead front sight, and deep floral engraving at the breech. Barrels are choked Modified and Improved Cylinder with 2 - 3/4" chambers. Case-hardened finish "0" boxlock action with full coverage vignette engraving, "Parker Bros." marking in gold on the bottom of the frame, non-automatic safety, and aftermarket single selective trigger protected by a blued floral engraved trigger guard with serial number chased in gold. Floral border checkered walnut pistol grip stock with checkered side panels and carved panel borders in A-1 Special style with Old English rubber recoil pad, gold center plastic pistol grip cap, and matching checkered beavertail forearm with latch release. CONDITION: Overall 95% as restored barrel finish with insignificant handling marks. 95% vivid case colors with sharp markings. Good wood with 95% finish, small handling marks, and sharp checkering. Good mechanics with mirror bores, tight lock up, and a lever way to right with phenomenal screws. A very eye catching shotgun.
