Originally made by Parker Gun Company in 1920. Included William Larkin Moore letter states that this gun was originally made with rare 30" barrels in 16 gauge with no mention in the Parker Serialization book. 1 of 76 known to have been made in this configuration. While owned by William Larkin Moore, this gun was awarded "Finest Original Parker of all the Parkers in the 7th Gold Medal Concours d'Elegance of Fine Guns" in April of 2004 in California. This fine shotgun features blued 30" Acme fluid steel barrels with "Acme Steel" rib roll die mark on Parker addressed matted rib, ejectors, and bead sights with border breech engraving. Barrels are choked Improved Modified and Full, chambers measure 2 - 3/4". Case hardened finish No. 1 frame boxlock action with standard BHE grade full coverage floral engraving with pointing dogs on side panels and walking deer on the bottom. Automatic safety and factory double triggers with blued floral engraved trigger guard with serial number. Border checkered walnut pistol grip stock with checkered side panels, carved panel border diamond tails in BH grade style, Parker engraved skeleton buttplate, brass plate pistol grip cap, and matching checkered splinter forearm with latch release. Comes with Moore letter confirming original specifications and an award certificate from PGCA. CONDITION: Overall 95% original barrel finish with insignificant handling marks, barrels have slight case wear. Barrels have a slight blemish 4" from the breech on right barrel. 60% fading case colors with sharp markings, receiver starting to silver in carry areas. Good wood with 90% original finish with small handling marks and sharp checkering. Good mechanics, tight lock up, and lever way to the right with fantastic screws. Mirror bores. A very eye-catching shotgun with rare specifications.
