Originally made by Parker Gun Company in 1936 after purchase by Remington Arms Company. Parker Serialization book lists this gun with correct dimensions but as a VH Grade instead of a GH. Factory research also lists this gun as a VHE Grade with matching dimensions. Barrels are marked next to the lug with a "B" and an "F" (possible Remington repair code?), an "M" and an "o" with Parker Overload stamps. Gun has many features that look factory but are undocumented, perhaps a factory upgrade or an early Del Grego upgrade. This fine shotgun features blued factory 28" Vulcan steel (normally Parker Steel for G Grade) barrels with "Vulcan Steel" rib roll die mark on Parker addressed matted rib, with ejectors, bead sights, and border breech engraving. Barrels are choked Improved Modified and Cylinder, chambers measure 2 - 3/4". Case hardened finish No. 1 frame boxlock action with standard GHE Grade full coverage floral engraving with bird scenes on side panels, quail on the bottom, "PARKER" on the bottom of the receiver at the hinge. Automatic safety and Parker style single selective trigger with blued floral engraved trigger guard with serial number. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock in VH/GH Grade style with checkered wood butt, German silver stock shield, Parker logo pistol grip cap, and matching checkered factory style beavertail forearm with latch release. Comes with a Parker Research letter. CONDITION: Overall 95% original barrel finish with insignificant handling marks, barrels have slight case wear. 90% fading case colors with sharp markings, receiver starting to dull in carry areas. Good wood with 90% original finish, with small handling marks and slightly sharp checkering. Good mechanics with tight lock up and lever way to right with in-time but turned screws. Mirror bores. A very eye-catching shotgun with desirable specifications.
