Action made in Germany by Sauer for Weatherby between 1964 and 1973; rifle was possibly fully constructed by Weatherby Custom shop. 23" round blued sightless tapered barrel with custom muzzle brake in .378 Weatherby Magnum. Matching blued steel frame marked with serial number, Weatherby trademark, gold plated bolt shroud and wide trigger shoe, and blued floorplate marked "WEATHERBY CUSTOM". Action fitted with Redfield 1-piece base and custom gold-plated rings with Leupold Vari-X II scope. Custom claro walnut thumbhole Mannlicher stock with gold-plated nose cap and Decelerator solid black rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Overall 98%, with small handling marks and light edge wear. Excellent bore and mechanics, clear optics.
