Second Model Schofield most likely shipped November 21st, 1876, to W. M. Robinson of New York. Nickel finish with standard 7" ribbed barrel, German silver half moon front sight, rear sighting notch, .45 S&W Schofield chambering, and 2-piece smooth walnut grips. Accompanied by a 2002 dated Roy Jinks factory research letter. CONDITION: Very good overall. Significant portions of nickel are retained, mixing with a brown-gray patina and some oxidation spots. Grips are very good with scattered impressions. Bore is strong with some black powder pitting in the grooves. Fine mechanics. Matching numbers observed on the frame, cylinder, and underside of the right grip. A classic Smith & Wesson sixgun popular among Old West lawmen and cowboys alike.
