An attractive circa 1930s German hunting dagger, unmarked, but with beautiful etchings that depict hunting scenes on either side of the blade. Spine is also nicely engraved. Blade exhibits a gray patina with scattered spotting and freckling. Brass S-shaped hoofed cross guard with center decorations and shell languet with nature scene. Pommel is also brass with line decorations and cap appearing as a flower. Stag grip with brass acorn decorations on right side. Nice patina to guard with handling wear. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts. Body with moderate wear. Upper mount with acorn stud. Wire staple missing on lower mount, upper mount wire staple is loose. Upper mount wobbles when handled.
