Circa 2013 per CL date code on barrels. Mono-bloc barrels are fit with a steel bead front sight on a machine matted vent rib. Typical Beretta legends and designations on barrels, including Excelsior steel barrels, and modern Italian nitro proofs for a nominal 20 gauge with nominal 16.0 IBD in both barrels. Round nose forearm is checkered in 2-point pattern panels with lined borders. Deeley style latch release is engraved with shaded scroll and florals on a striated background, with exterior iron engraved en suite. Interior of forearm stamped with various numbers that do not match serials and appear to be control numbers of some kind. Sideplated boxlock with nicely cut shaded acanthus scroll, with some longer floral bands interspersed., and floral edgework. "P. Beretta" in ribbons over hinge pin, with typical Beretta model designaton on underside. Signed "Bottega C. Giovanelli" at trigger guard. Automatic safety with barrel selector mounted to tab. Single selective inertia driven trigger protected by a trigger guard with short tang. Attractive burl walnut stock is checkered in 2 panels of point-and-wave pattern checkering about the Prince of Wales grip. Brass oval inset at toeline. Checkered wooden butt extension with Beretta logo inset into checkering. Housed in Beretta branded case with factory paperwork, uninstalled sling bows, one on ring for affixing to rib, one on screw to affix to stock, and Beretta logoed soft recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to NOS. Barrels with virtually all of their factory bluing, with some very mild handling marks and superficial scratches.Stocks excellent, with somewhat heavier handling marks, but not through the varnish, free of cracks and chips. Action is excellent, ejectors are slightly out of time, bottom fires first. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny, but tubes are currently frozen. Case and accessories excellent. Replacement value of these guns is currently in the neighborhood of $10,000.
