AGS CERTIFIED #11253. DSP. An exceedingly rare example of this double sided porcelain sign from Texas Pacific Gasoline and Motor Oil featuring a "TP" graphic. CONDITION: Side 1 shows good color in the field, with nice original gloss. There are some dents and porcelain chips in the center field of the graphic, as well toward the outer field. Surface scratching and small areas of spider webbing are also present in the field. The outer edges show porcelain loss and wear the top two mounting holes (Score 83). Side 2 retains similarly nice color and shine. There are a few heavy dents and areas of porcelain loss in the centerfield of the graphic. The outer field shows wear and light chipping throughout. The outer edges and surrounding areas show consistent porcelain chipping and damage- the worst of which is at the top center where this is a larger area of porcelain loss (Score 79). This sign comes with an original bracket and also retains two original, handmade hanging hooks. A true survivor and exceptionally rare sign.
