Made by Smith-Corona in 1944. This gun was further customized by an unknown gunsmith and made into 03-A4 sniper configuration. Military finish unmarked round sightless (sights removed) barrel. Parkerized 03-A3 action marked on receiver "SMITH-CORONA / 03A3" with 3 position safety, Smith-Corona bolt, and fitted with reproduction Malcolm 8x Scope marked "USMC-SNIPER". Receiver has been drilled for Lyman peep sight. Walnut "C" stock with no markings and fitted with 1903 style milled floorplate and reproduction military leather sling. CONDITION: 98% original finish with light handling marks. Great bore and mechanics with clear optics with ME of 1 and TE of 2. A great option for a high power military match rifle.
