Manufactured in 1875 with features including 7 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .45 Colt with blade front sight, single line barrel address with serifs on either side, "V" notch rear sight, donut ejector rod head, early ejector rod housing with support stud, 2 line patent date, desirable US marking on left side of frame, and walnut 1 piece grips. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, frame, trigger guard, butt, and side of cylinder. Stamped with A.P. Casey's distinctive "C" inspection mark on outside of ejector rod housing, barrel, frame, inside of hammer channel, trigger guard, and cylinder. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned a freckled gray patina. Grips are in matching condition with heavy hand wear throughout, superficial dents, and minor chips. Action is tight and crisp with all 4 hammer clicks. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
