Lovely 19" (48cm) socket head Bebe with lovely bulbous pale blue eyes, tiny lashes and multi-stroke brows, pierced earlobes and dimple in chin. Stamped on the back of the head in red "DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU BTE SGDG 8." She is attached with a coil spring to the original body, stamped in blue on the back of the torso "JUMEAU MEDAILLE D'OR." She wears a simple but well-made costume, all of antique fabrics, simulating the style and shape of the original factory chemise with high collar, and pinned to her blouse is a brass pin with the word "BEBE." Garments are antique, as are socks and silk shoes, however they are not marked Jumeau shoes, though definitely antique. She wears antique blonde mohair wig with side part over cardboard pate, and covering that is a well-made bonnet, again of all old fabrics in the 1890's style. CONDITION: There are two firing lines on the head due to shrinkage, and are not hairline cracks or damage incurred by the doll post-production. There is one on the top-left of the forehead near the crown, barely 1/4" long, and one that is a little bit more visible on the back of the head from the crown to just below the ear. Again, these are not damages, but so-called firing flaws. Body is original, but with an old, light coat of repaint.
