Third Model rifle with serial number applied June 3, 1892 in desirable .22 Short Rimfire chambering. 24" octagon barrel marked "22 SHORT" with sporting sights and full length removable tube magazine. Polished blue receiver without loading gate. Elevator engraved in script "22 CAL.". Case hardened lever and hammer. Plain 2-piece walnut stocks with blued steel nose cap and case hardened rifle buttplate. Included factory research confirms options. CONDITION: Overall very good as expertly restored. Barrel retains nearly all of its reapplied blue with some silvering at the muzzle. Most of the bright blue on receiver is also retained, broken in along the high edges. Strong case colors, starting to fade. Stocks have been lightly cleaned with scattered impressions and a larger nick in the forend. Unusually nice, bright bore displays strong rifling. Fine mechanics. A very attractively restored, desirable, low production rimfire Winchester.

ADDENDUM: A copy of the factory letter has been added to the photos.
