Solider portrait doll appears to be a British WWI officer, as shown in a French 1916 Au Printemps store catalogue, cloth body with composition head, molded and painted dark hair, mustache, composition hands and feet, all original uniform with leather belt and gun holster. Freundlich General Douglas MacArthur all-composition portrait doll with molded hat (head professionally restored), all original uniform (missing belt) and shoes. hand can be positioned to salute.

CORRECTION – The soldier with the mustache has been identified as British Army officer Field Marshall and Earl Horatio Herbert Kitchener of Boer War and World War I fame.
