DSP. Maker Marked "Property of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. M-9-40." A nice example of this double sided porcelain sign from Goodyear Tires featuring the iconic logo. CONDITION: Side 1 shows good color and shelving in the field. There is discoloration and staining extending from the mounting holes down to the lower edge of the sign- most likely from oxidation and rain when the sign hung outside. The extreme outer edges show occasional chipping and wear as well (Score 86). Side 2 retains similar good color in the field. Staining from oxidation is present on this side, extending from the mounting holes and down to the lower outer edges. There are a few porcelain chips in the field- the worst of which is in the "G" and the wing section of the center logo. The outer edges show discoloration and wear throughout (Score 79). A well displaying sign that is ready to hang.
