Manufactured in 1886. Hard to find 4 - 1/2" barreled sheriff's model. Etched panel with a half-moon German Silver front sight. V-notch rear sight with a six-shot fluted cylinder. 2-piece hard rubber grips with the rampant Colt logo on them. All matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. The cylinder has the last 3 numbers on it. CONDITION: Gun retains some of the original factory-applied blue finish, with the remaining turning to a nice brown patina. There are hints of case color on the frame. The grips show some wear. The bore is dark, with some pitting and frosting in the lands and grooves. The action works correctly in single action, but hangs up in double action.
