According to the Colt Factory archive letter, this gun left the factory as a .45 Colt with a 4 - 3/4" barrel. It had a blue finish, and the stocks were not listed. It was shipped to Hartley & Graham, New York, New York, on July 5, 1892, in a shipment of 15 guns. It is now fit with a set of carved mother of pearl grips with a bulls head motif on the right grip. Blackpowder frame with case color. The two line address on top of the barrel was misstamped. It is showing just the bottom line. The index mark is also off. The roll die caliber mark is not struck very well either. Two line patent dates on the left side of the frame next to a rampant Colt Logo. Matching serial numbers observed on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Single action front sight and a V notch rear sight. CONDITION: This gun retains approximately 60% of the original factory applied blue finish. The majority of the finish loss is to the barrel and ejector rod housing. There are some case colors in the protected areas of the frame and hammer. Great bore with well defined lands and grooves. The grips show some wear with some chips mainly to the left grip.
