The barrel retains at least 95% bright blue with a few age freckles and a hint of wear on end of ejector round housing along with some freckling. The cylinder retains approximately 90% blue with some circumference marks, some age toning and light freckling. The front grip strap has bright blue blending patina. Back strap retains majority of blue with some blended patina and light freckling. Screws are true retaining majority of fire blue. The trigger has bright blue on back with toning on face. The fire blue on top of hammer is toning and brilliant on back. All legends are sharp. Action works single action but sticks on double. Bore is bright. In this condition and caliber, it rates as one of the true rarities in Colt collecting.
