According to the Colt factory archive letter, this gun left the factory as a .41/c with a 4 - 1/2" barrel. Finish was blue, grips were not listed. It was shipped to "address illegible" on August 22, 1900 in a shipment of 25 guns. Case color frame and niter blue small parts. Two line address on top of the barrel, "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." There is a roll die caliber designation on the left side of the barrel, "COLT D.A. .41". Three line patent dates on the front left side of the frame. Rampant Colt logo in a circle on the left side of the frame. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap. The number 193 is on the loading gate. The gun works in both single and double action. It comes in an original factory Colt pink picture box. The blue end label matches the gun. CONDITION: This gun retains the vast majority of the original factory applied blue finish. There is some finish loss to the grip straps and the ejector rod housing. Vibrant case colors in the protected areas with some silvering. The niter blue small parts retain most of the blue finish. The grips are in wonderful condition with sharp checkering. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. The box is in very good condition. The top has two seam splits. The label shows edge wear and some slight damage.
