DST. Maker Marked John Igelstroem Co., Massillon, Ohio. Incredibly clean and well displaying C. 1920's Tin Service Station Flange for Ajax Tires showing large die-cut tire graphic with privilege panel for "Arkansas Valley Auto Co., Pueblo, Colorado". CONDITION: Side one is overall excellent showing bright colors with very good gloss. Side one shows minor areas of surface scratching in the field as well as some minor areas of stain spotting, nothing that is overly distracting. Side one shows a clean Tire graphic with light paint loss at the outer edges, (Score 88). Side two also shows excellent color & gloss throughout with clean script as well as a very clean Tire graphic. Side two shows surface scratching in the inner field with some very light areas of age stain, showing one heavier scratch at the lower portion of the Tire. Side two shows minimal paint wear along the outer edge and overall displays very well, (Score 88). The flange portion of the sign is outstanding showing just minimal paint wear with clean mounting holes. An outstanding displaying example of early Tire advertising fro Ajax Tires.
