Beautiful poupée exclusive to Mme Peronne’s doll boutique “A La Poupée de Nuremberg” with complete paper label on torso. “Lily” was the doll sponsored by the magazine for young girls La Poupée Modèle. Bisque socket head on shoulder plate marked DEPOSE with other letters or numbers difficult to read, beautiful Empress Eugenie-type portrait face with lovely pale bisque and upturned lips, long feathered eyebrows, blue glass enameled eyes, painted upper and lower eyelashes, closed mouth with lip shading strokes, chin dimple, pierced ears (cheek rub), cork pate, lovely original reddish brown human hair wig matches her eyebrows. Jointed wood body (some paint scuffs) with individually carved fingers and Lavallée-Peronne label. Antique 2-piece fashion gown of tan checked cotton with rose silk trim (some holes), underwear, one shoe. Lovely, rare and desirable doll.
