Manufactured by the American Optical Co. in 1951 for use in the Korean War, where these optics saw heavy use, largely mounted to M1 and M2 carbines. This example is accompanied by a correct military hard-sided fitted transit chest with battery box, cables, waterproofed carry bag, tools, and numerous spare components including tubes, lamps, and fittings. A very complete kit. CONDITION: Good overall with evidence of age and wear. Unit not tested for function. Case has been partially overpainted.
