This early 8-bore market double features double exposed hammers, side lock actions, double triggers, and checkered walnut straight grip stock with smooth steel butt plate. Splinter forearm with ebony inset secured by wedge. CONDITION: Very good. All metal is patina with no original finish, fine twist pattern on barrels. Stock is solid but checkering is worn but partially visible. Forearm checkering is fairly strong but does have small chip at inset. Action is a bit loose but both hammers are strong. Bore is scored. Nice example of early 8-bore market gun.
