SST. Maker Marked "The Matthews Co., Detroit, Mich." This C. 1950's single sided tin sign from Excel batteries features embossed letters and good color throughout. CONDITION: The field of the sign retains good color with no significant damage. Light surface scratching is present on the raised letters. The outer border shows wear and paint loss in isolated areas mainly near the corners. There are six non-factory mounting holes around the border of this sign that show minor wear as well. A nice example of this well-preserved sign (8.5).
