Manufactured circa 1890 in classic configuration for use by the United States Government. 7 - 1/2" chambered in .45 Colt with single line barrel address, blade front sight, "V" notch rear sight, 3 line patent date with "U.S." marking on left side of frame, blue finish with color case hardened frame, and 1 piece walnut grips. Grips are marked with "353" on left grip panel, which is likely a rack number or a collection number. RAC inspector marked on barrel, frame, and cylinder. "K" markings on trigger guard and butt. CONDITION: Very good, benefitting from complete restoration, with nearly all of the applied finishes remaining. Frame has bright case colors. Hammer is an aftermarket replacement. Aftermarket lanyard loop has been installed on butt. Grips are excellent as sanded and refinished with faint cartouches and no major signs of distress. Mechanically tight and crisp with all 4 hammer stops. Bore is dark with well-defined rifling.
