Manufactured in 1956. Blue and case color gun with one piece ivory stocks. It comes in a presentation case with a Bowie knife, an extra .44-40 cylinder and a box of ammo. There is a presentation on the ejector housing to Robert Auth, Yellow Pine, Idaho. The gun has been profusely engraved in a scroll and foliate pattern with borders and other geometric designs incorporated into the engraving. One line barrel address,"COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". Caliber designation on the left side of the barrel, "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .44 SPECIAL". Two line three date patent date on the left side of the frame "PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / JULY 2, 72 JAN. 19, 75". Next to the patent dates is a Rampant Colt logo. VP proof on the left front trigger bow. The Bowie knife was manufactured by "FAULKNER". It also has a presentation to Robert R. Auth - Yellow Pine, Idaho. It has an ivory grip and scroll engraving on the pommel and the cross guard. Partial box of Western bullseye box of .44-40 ammunition. The extra cylinder is engraved like the gun. This all comes in a wooden case with a maroon interior. CONDITION: This gun retains some of the original blue finish. There is case color in the protected areas on the frame. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. The grips are near mint and fit the gun very well. The Bowie is in near mint condition.
