Shipped October 2, 1888 in an order of 5 guns in this shipment of the same type to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company in Chicago, Illinois. Barrel is not serial numbered, with matching serial numbers visible at frame, trigger guard, and butt. Left side of barrel has had desirable etched panel marking applied after leaving the factory. CONDITION: Good, with all traces of nickel finish turned essentially a gray patina with evidence of light polishing and freckling throughout. Grips are well worn with checkering worn flat. Action retains all four hammer stops, but lockup is slightly loose. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling.
