Manufactured 1944 with serrated front sight and flat top U-notch rear sight. Roll die stamped with Ithaca manufacture marking on left side of slide and "P" proofmark near rear sight. Barrel is marked "HS" on right side of lug and "P" on right side. Frame is marked with United States Property mark as well as "M 1911 A1 US Army" on right side with faint crossed cannon cartouche with noticeable silvering where the stamp broke through the parkerizing. FJA inspection cartouche and P proofmark are visible on left side of frame near grips. Top of frame bridle near ejector is not marked. Other features include serrated slide lock, narrow checkered hammer, thick serrated safety, checkered magazine release, and serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Mounted with checkered replacement fiber grips with "5564063" and "5564062" mold numbers. Accompanied by magazine marked with a "K" in a circle with smaller "M" "T" "Co" on left side of magazine body. CONDITION: Excellent, with nearly all of the factory-applied parkerized finish remaining with scattered light handling marks and light takedown mark near inspector cartouche. Grips are excellent with no major signs of distress. Bore is lightly frosted with sharp rifling.
