Standard US issue with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" under barrel, "US ARMY MODEL 1917" on butt with number 27463. Barrel renumbered to match crane, 13862, with W stamp along with original crane number, 178406. Left side of frame has GHS (Gilbert Stewart) inspector stamp. Two piece smooth walnut grips. Gun has post-WWI parkerized refinish. Fit with lanyard ring. CONDITION: Some of the legends are ghosting. Grips are a bit shy to metal with usual dings. Still retains 80% of the later finish. Action operates correctly. Bore is strong with some residue.
