Very nice well-used Buffalo rifle featuring a heavy octagon barrel with rifling and rear buckhorn sight with front blade sight. Indistinct signature on top flat. Flat stamp-engraved percussion lock marked "G. GOULCHER" in a banner. Double set-triggers. Iron furniture includes a four-piece patchbox with a flower finial. Iron trigger guard, buttplate, and barrel key escutcheons. German silver endcap. Partially figured tiger maple stock. CONDITION: As-found and untouched, showing period repairs, wear and heavy honest use throughout. Lock functions well. Complete with a faceted original horn powder measure.
