Manufactured circa 1914. Chambered in Teddy Roosevelt's favorite .405 WCF with a blued tapered round nickel steel barrel, gold bead blade front sight, and climbing Lyman No. 21 rear aperture sight. Varnished walnut splinter forend with Schnabel tip and ebony insert. Plain walnut butt stock with crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Fair. Approximately 40% original blued finish, the balance thinning to gray patina with evidence of cleaned oxidaiton. Stocks have several filled-in spots or repair and areas of finish alligatoring and loss. Frosted bore with well-defined rifling. Fine mechanics.
