Weight approximately 80 lbs. Circa 1900. Piece salvaged years ago from a now defunct Baltimore, Maryland hotel. Black paint appears all original. Wonderfully detailed with 40 rays emanating from a nicely embossed central interior star. The 20 straight rays are embossed and highlighted with four accent arrow tips proceeding down each ray toward the outer ring. The curved rays are beautifully tapered and incorporate motion into the piece. One-piece heavy cast iron construction. Original five mounting holes around the perimeter.
