Manufactured circa 1918-1929 by A.H. Fox Gun company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with features including ivory bead front sight, Krupp steel barrels, single selective trigger, ejectors, and automatic trigger. Blue finish with engraved color case hardened receiver and 2-piece checkered walnut stock and forearm with added black rubber recoil pad. Engraving on frame and breech consists of coarse floral and acanthus scroll with "ANSLEY H. FOX" in a ribbon banner on left and right frame flats and vignette of 2 quail flying with a mountainous western prairie in the background on bottom of frame. Marked on barrel flats and water table with "B" grade marking. CONDITION: Excellent, as professionally restored, with barrels retaining the vast majority of the reapplied blue finish with light handling marks. Rib has been relaid. Stock and forearm have been sanded and refinished with repair at lower tang. Action needs attention as the selector is frozen in the middle position, does not allow the trigger to be pulled. Automatic safety functions correctly. Bores are bright with minor orange peel.
