Manufactured circa 1909 with extractors rather than automatic ejectors. Other features include steel bead front sight, double triggers, and automatic safety. Blue finish with color case hardened frame and checkered 2-piece stock and forearm with Prince of Wales grip and serrated composite buttplate. Frame and breech are engraved with matching Fox "C" grade engraving. Engraving consists of floral scroll with accenting wrigglework and filework borders, and engraved on each side of receiver with a different vignette game scene. The left side is engraved with 2 quail, the bottom is engraved with a pointer with flying ducks in the background, and the right side is engraved with 2 woodcocks. CONDITION: Excellent, as benefitting from a complete professional refurbishment, with the vast majority of the applied blue finish remaining. Frame retains bright case colors. Engraving is sharp. Front of muzzle shows evidence of being cutdown after a new rib was installed, barrel extension shows evidence of repair. Stock and forearm have sharp checkering and retain nearly all of their applied finish, stock has a dowell repair at comb. Mechanically fine. Bores are bright and smooth.
