Circa 1914 per "British Gunmakers Volume One - London" by Brown. 28" chopper lump barrels with a pierced bead front sight on a concave, tapered, narrowing rib, engraved with Lang's New Bond Street address on right tube, and Abercrombie & Fitch's information on left, and fit with a doll's head rib extension. Relieved for sideclips, and lightly engraved in an incised strapwork pattern at muzzle, with scroll and shell on extension. Barrel flats with modern Briitsh nitro proofs for a choked 12 gauge at 1 - 1/8 oz of shot. Underside of tubes with "J.L&S", serial numbers, and "For 2 3/4 Steel" on right tube, abutting forearm lump. Splinter forearm with point pattern checkering, and fit with a Anson plunger at reinforced tip, with scroll and geometric wrigglework on exterior. Interior with matching serial number. Action flats with serial number and view proof. Vibrantly case colored keylock action with cocking indicators and port for key at rear. Classic English rose and scroll throughout, extending to trigger guard, which protects a single mechanical trigger. Automatic safety with "SAFE" inlaid in gold. Nicely figured dark walnut stock with a diamond-shaped wrist and uncapped pistol grip, checkered in a point pattern with mullered borders. Inlaid silver vanity plate with "DPH" enraved, and ending in a black line spacer with an orange recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent as restored, retaining nearly all of the reapplied finishes throughout, with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine, ejectors are strong and in time, bores are excellent with some firing residue.
