An interesting knife, manufactured by J.H. Becker, Solingen, and marked as such on the obverse blade. The knife features a 5 - 3/4" drop point blade with no ricasso. There is an inscription on the blade next to the maker that reads "Weihnachten 1915 vor Soissons" (Christmas 1915 from Soissons). The inscription is quite interesting as this knife was most likely carried by a German Soldier during World War I. Blade exhibits a moderate patina but still retains its shine in areas with scattered freckling. Stag grips remain intact and firmly secured to the tang with 3 pins on each side. The knife is complete with its leather scabbard that exhibits areas of creases and cracks. Belt loop and securing snap remain intact. CONDITION: Good.
