Grips are tall, thin rosewood slabs held in place with 2 small silver pins and a narrow silver escutcheon, with a thin flat silver pommel cap. Period scabbard with German silver throat and tip. A similar Alfred example can be found on pg. 326 of Flayderman's "The Bowie Knife", 2004. CONDITION: Very good. Blade previously cleaned with light scratches overall, sharpened edge and sharp tip. Scabbard stitching is tight, with throat slightly loose.
