3rd Model rifle manufactured circa 1890. Blued 24" octagon barrel chambered in .38-40 with 2-line address, German silver blade front sight, and semi-buckhorn rear. Stocks are plain walnut with steel nose cap and crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good for its age. Significant traces of original blue are retained, the balance exhibiting an even brown patina with evidence of cleaned oxidation. Buttstock appears lightly cleaned, scattered impressions throughout. Especially fine and bright bore. Mechanics are fine.
