Circa 1850s - 1860s clip point Sheffield Bowie knife. Unmarked, but no doubt made for export to be stamped by an American retailer later. Measures 14 - 1/2" overall with a 10" blade and a 6 - 1/4" sharpened false edge. Mother of pearl slab scales held in place with 4 silver pins. Nickel silver crossguard, throat, and pommel. No scabbard present. CONDITION: Very good. Blade has been previously cleaned and sharpened with a few scattered areas of light pitting removed.
