Breech block marked "MODEL / 1870 / (eagle head) / U.S." Converted lock stamped "1863" at tail and "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" in center with a stamped eagle. Standard furniture, buttplate tang stamped "E / 41". Stock shows no visible markings. CONDITION: All steel components polished bright with a dried yellow oil coating. Mechanism functions well, lock strong. Bore shows some minor debris. Stock shows minor scattered marks from use and a couple minor chips on toe of butt.
